Primary Three and Four At Castle Leslie
On Tuesday we had the privilege of touring Castle Leslie in Glaslough, County Monaghan. Bella Campbell’s Dad very kindly arranged a special tour for us as part of our topic on castles. A very special lady, who had worked in the castle accompanied us on part of the tour, when she told stories about the fairies and what life would have been like for both the gentry and the servants almost 100 years ago. Bella’s Dad, Francis gave us a very informative tour and we learned so much from him. We are still wondering what life would have been like with servants....but without electricity, computers and cars! Have a look at our photographs which showcase our expedition. A very big thank you to Francis Campbell, Judy and the staff of Castle Leslie for allowing us to have this special day.
