Millionaire Entrepreneur Visits Aughadarragh
On Friday 22nd June our school welcomed a very important visitor, millionaire entrepreneur, Jerry Kennelly, the founder of the Junior Entrepreneur Project. He arrived at our school at 7.30am to record and interview our P6 and P7 pupils who took part in the JEP 2018 and whose project was awarded 'outstanding practice' across the whole of Ireland. Jerry, who travelled from Kerry on Thursday evening, created some fabulous footage of our school and surroundings, using a drone on Thursday evening and he was highly impressed with the beautiful setting of our school. On Friday he interviewed Mrs Hackett and the pupils about our bird box business and the whole JEP project, which the school entered in term two. His work with the pupils will now be used by RTE and himself as promotion for JEP throughout Ireland.
We thank all the parents and pupils who made a massive effort to be in school early on Friday morning and we congratulate Mrs Hackett and the class on their fantastic success in the Junior Entrepreneur Project 2018.
