As part of our Nurturing and RSE programme, P5 and P6 had a class visit from a 2 week old baby, Rachelagh. The programme encourages guided observations of an infant’s development. It identifies the importance of empathy and how we care for each other.
The pupils interviewed the baby’s mummy and asked a wide range of questions about Rachelagh’s weight, sleep and feeding routines. We hope to continue this development journey with baby Rachelagh throughout the year.
To finish, Rachleagh visited the P1 and P2 classroom to see her big sister, Ariagh. What a wonderful experience for all. Thanks again to mum, Shaunagh for taking the time to come visit us.
